Ground Beef Meat Loaf

Short description

Meat loaf, filled with bacon, onion and apple.


400 g (1 lb)ground beef
2baked potatoes
1 round tablespoonsbread crumbs
1 flat teaspoonsalt
half teaspoonwhite pepper
 dash of ground cinnamon and nutmeg
100 g (3.5 oz)bacon
1 bunchcilantro
1small oninon
1large apple



Combine ground beef, mashed potatos, salt, pepper, cinnamon, nutmeg, bread crumbs and the egg. Hand mix well. Spread entire mixture on top of a clean, greased surface.


Cut into small pieces all filling ingredients and spread them all over the ground beef mixture evenly. Starting from one edge, roll it up carefully as to form a big loaf. Now transfer it to a greased Pyrex baking dish and bake it in a pre-heated oven (200 C/375 F/British Gas Mark 5) for about 40 minutes, or until golden brown.


Serve with rice and vegetables.
